Dresher on Dresher
The composer discusses his own compositions, both for the electric chamber band, and for opera/music theater, dance as well as chamber and orchestral works. This presentation deals with the diverse influences upon Dresher's work, such as minimalism, rock and roll, the experimental and electronic music and the music of Asia and Africa. The presentation includes audio and video recordings and can be tailored to communicate to both general audiences and music specialists.
The Collaborative Process and Composing for Music Theater, Opera and Dance
This presentation by Mr. Dresher is pertinent to students of all the performing arts who are interested in working collaboratively with artists from other art forms or in multi-media contexts.
